Every painting tells a story….and I do love a good story. I also love A LOT of color! More than 25 years ago, during long, quiet nights while my husband traveled frequently for work, I found myself unable to sleep after our young children were in bed and the house was still. Searching for something to fill those quiet hours, I picked up a paintbrush..and just gave it a whirl. 

Today, I’m a self-taught acrylic painter and an empty-nester mom of three, rediscovering myself through art. I fell in love with the power of bold color and rich texture to transform a blank canvas into something vibrant and alive. What began as a creative escape quickly became a soulful outlet, and over the years, I’ve quietly developed my style and voice. 

I pray over every canvas before I begin… and then I let the brush make its move . Not gonna lie…. I oftenI live vicariously through my work. Each painting tells a story that I may not even realize needs to be told until I’m deep into the process. They usually come to life when I’m not planning or overthinking. And when I’m in the middle of a HUGE mess! 

I believe we all have something to say… sometimes we just need to start moving to hear it.
